About Phazer

Since the band's beginning in 2004, PhaZer have already collected many good reviews from across the worldwide press, and have been described as the "big promise of Portuguese Rock ". The Lisbon based band identifies itself mainly within the Rock genre, but don´t feel compelled to limit themselves to any one kind of musical label. Instead, they seek out and combine alternative sounds and innovative styles. Early on after writing their first songs, PhaZer strode confidently onto the Lisbon rock circuit, gaining a loyal audience with their "Beta-Tour". Directly after that, they holed up at Namoche Studios to record their debut EP "Revelations". In 2006, their debut EP "Revelations" was released. This offering was soon unanimously acclaimed by the press as one of the best records of the year, with PhaZer being considered one of the best Portuguese new acts in 2006. "Revelations" still continues to gain more popularity with increased radio airplay in several worldwide radio stations. Following the very positive reaction to "Revelations", PhaZer entered into an extensive tour, lasting more than two years and covering all the Portuguese Rock/Metal hotspots! This tour allowed the band to build a great following, which, since they were originally considered only a start-up act with only a self-financed debut EP, gave them a fan base and reputation to rival many more established bands. After the "Revelations Tour", the band entered the studio again, this time to record their first full-length album entitled "Kismet", released through the labels Raging Planet and Raising Legends. Kismet was immediately considered one of the best records of the year in Portugal, opening doors to new stages and a wider audience, such as the Lisbon Coliseum, as support band for "Cheap Trick" (USA) and the 30th International Motorcycle Rally festival with "Iron Maiden" (UK) as headliners. In 2012, PhaZer were back in the Studio to record a new EP with 6 songs, entitled "Rockslinger", released in the same year by the labels Raging Planet, Raising Legends and Ethereal Sound Works. PhaZer presented their third record as a very evolved, creative Rock offering without formulaic borders. It showcased PhaZer’s ability to lead with aggressive, heavy, and daredevil elements, whilst at the same time revealing a fragile, uncovered and intimate side of PhaZer! PhaZer has been established as a one of the best Portuguese hard-rock bands, and in fact the guitar solo in "I've Been Shot" is considered (by the press) one of the best guitar solos of All Time of Portuguese Rock. The growing buzz has allowed PhaZer to have full house concerts in major venues in Lisbon, such as the support act for "Harem Scarem" (Canada) and "D.A.D." (Denmark). Let the next phase begin… Rock band from the westernmost country of Europe.
