Alex Clemens

Breaking into the music scene in mid 2013, Alex Clemens has been turning heads with his fresh, blue-collar alternative sound. After his second performance as Into the Unknown, Alex partnered with TURKEY VULTURE RECORDS, to record his debut album, “The Long Road Home”. Home, to Alex, is the Iola-Scandinavia area in Central Wisconsin. This was where Alex picked up the guitar at age 12. When he was 20, he began to write original songs. When asked what inspired him to both begin to play, and then to write, Alex said, “I first picked up the guitar in middle school as a requirement for a class, and I fell in love. Writing my own material came after years of not expressing my own emotions and feelings. Music was my only outlet. The only way to share my feelings was to write my own songs.” A few years later, Alex set down his dream to focus on everyday life. After falling into hard times, he decided to dust off the guitar. This stretch of hard times is what led to the majority of the subject material in “The Long Road Home”. In early 2014, a music video for his song, ‘Until Then’ was released. “I was dealing with a major break-up. In order to cope, I turned back to music. ‘The Long Road Home’ is the result of me struggling to move on, and the emotional hardships of the road to finding happiness once again” Alex is extremely thankful for his loyal fans.
