About Negramaro
Negramaro is an Italian rock band. Their name comes from the Negroamaro, a wine (and a red grape variety) from Puglia, a southern region in Italy.
Their first success was the song "Come sempre", from the album "Negramaro" recorded in 2003. It was chosen by RAI (the Italian national television) as the soundtrack for the spot for the their 50th anniversary.
They debuted in Sanremo's Festival in the young artists section with the hit "Mentre tutto scorre". This song has been choosen as title track for the movie "La febbre" by Alessandro D'Alatri featuring Fabio Volo. Another eight songs from Negrmaro are in this soundtrack.
In summer 2005 they won the 'Best Revelation' award in Festivalbar with the new single "Estate". With this song they placed first in the Italian hitlist and they won the "Best Italian Band" prize in the MTV Music Awards.
