The Fixx

Loved seeing The Fixx and the show drove me to listen to more of their catalog. But it was over three hours and two opening acts before the headliner got to the stage. Neither of the other performers matched the style, vigor, or talent of the Fixx. I thought I was at the wrong concert until 10 PM .

An amazing venue ! Ozomatli was the opening band.....Great performance by the entire band. The Fixx was just amazing! Cy Curnin is a true performer. Would definitely see them again in the future.

I saw them back in 1986 with the Moody blues. It was my first concert and they are even better now than they were back then. If you get a chance to see them live, I would not pass it up. I highly recommend going to their show.! saw them in Dallas last night. It was amazing.

Frickin’ awesome! What an underrated band, and Cy’s voice was outstanding. Incredible talent from them. Despite our political differences, I can appreciate The Fixx for their talent and incredible musicianship. Loved the show!

Fantastic show! I'd dare say that lead singer (and the entire band for that matter) Cy Curnin's vocals sounded better today than when they were huge back in the early-mid eighties. Saw them in ATL in 83 when they were the warm-up band for The Police. They crushed it then, and even more so now that they paly in much smaller venues.

I've seen The Fixx many times recently and they somehow only get better and better. Easily one of the best live bands in the world. Loved all the props this show!

Great show. The whole band sounded amazing, especially the guitarist. Played all their hits and did some of their deep cuts as well. Definitely recommend checking them out..

After a certain age, and after experiencing a certain number of gigs and concerts, one reaches a point at which it is possible to perceive that a musical act has become a hodgepodge of random legacy members and glorified placeholder musicians grafted together for the purpose of making quick money in the countryside. One most assuredly does not get that sense from The Fixx, who remain true to themselves and their music thirty-five years on. From the band’s commitment to technical excellence in instrumentation and mixing, to the often overlooked art of theatrics of presentation without elaborate light or video shows, to the earnestness of the lyrics and their skilled delivery, The Fixx are clearly still believers in the integrity of their catalog and not simply selling themselves by the pound sterling. Sure, the audience will get to hear many of the hits that were the soundtrack of their early lives, but they will also be trusted with appreciating many other tunes that the band have curated as representing what also should be heard and appreciated. At this stage of the band’s life and the lives of their fans, a show by The Fixx is a serious event, not a bacchanal, even when it happens to be held in a city far from England whose denizens pronounce its name in a very non-English way. But one will depart at the close of that event feeling privileged to have seen a band that is yet harnessing its still considerable powers for good.

Best night. Greatest band. Fantastic venue. And affordable tickets, drinks, etc. Arcada is awesome! The Fixx is as good live today if not better than the 80s. Heroes💚💜✌️🤘

The starter singer Jill Sobule was a delightful mix of camp and quirk. Jill entertained us for over an hour while strumming her mini guitar and sprinkling a mix of lyrics and conversation. She was a silly mix of singer and comedian. The fixx came on around 930pm. and played a solid 1.5 hrs. The final song was less than zero. The very physiological lead singer did a magic trick by blowing up a white balloon and then making it vanish into thin air, eliciting a gutteral reaction from the audience and awe striking the crowd The singer had little props and welded them throughout the performance. Surprisingly, for an 80s band, these guys mostly looked decades younger than their years. The voice was weathered by time, but a very rich message was clear. Are we, are we, are we ourselves. We are not less than zero under a red skies.

One of the best concerts I’ve attended. I knew them from the 80s, and only recognized 4 songs (which was enough to entice me to go). They played a total of 19, and all were great. The frontman is a real showman, and the band is TIGHT. Five members playing together for 46 years with no substitutions is unheard of. They didn’t miss a note, and I won’t miss them again. Fantastic performance.

Their music and lyrics resonate with us, releasing "happy" chemicals and leads to feelings of euphoria and connection. It has touched me for years, and I love them for it. Cy Curnin is a music writing machine. I love him too!

Such a great night with these guys as always, nice electic setlist complimented with plenty of theatrical props on a smaller scale in a small but nice theatre for the purpose!

What a great time! The Fixx sounded fantastic. Not sure how long they've been touring this year but they sounded very tight like they've been playing a lot. Cy sang his a*s off and put on a good show as the front man. Jamie's guitar was sizzling during some of the solos and the keyboards and rhythm section was right in time. 1st time seeing them and I am glad I was able. Go see them if you're a fan and you have the choice. You won't be disappointed.

The concert was great. They put on a good show. It seemed a little low budget. The audio wasn’t that great as the vocals were a little muddled. Also the chairs at the Plaza are uncomfortable and lined up too close together.

I actually saw The Fixx last night 11/28 at Tupelo Music Hall in Derry NH. Lead singer Cy Curnin brought me down memory lane with vocals that sounded as good if not better when I first saw them 20 years ago. Cy is a master vocalist and performer. His voice filled the room like a grand piano. Lead and only guitarist Jamie West-Oram played his telecaster guitar and was mesmerizing as he went from rock to funk with the musicianship of a master. Keyboardist Rupert Greenall was dead on and helped round out the sound perfectly. Bassist Gary Tibbs gave us the funk we needed and the style we expected. Last but not least drummer Adam Woods was masterful and didn’t overpower his band mates, a true professional! This was simply a fun and nostalgic show and was just what I needed on a cold Tuesday night. I will never miss these guys when they are in town again- Jim Bolduc Cumberland Maine PS Thank you Cy for continuing to tour….you are truly amazing and seem like an extremely nice man who has always had great values.

Great time but wish they would have played a few more. Another great aspect is most of the OG members present, instead of calling it the same band with only 1-2 member like some older groups.

I was not at this show, I saw them at the Observatory in OC on Wed June 15. Great show but Bandsintown does not have that show?
