About Return To The Sun
Rambunctious indie rumblings. Rambunctious indie rockers with big choruses and pounding riffs. Return To The Sun Began during the summer of 2013. Within a month the band were in 45 a side studios recording what would become their debut E.P Eskimo bones which they went on to tour around the UK later that year climaxing at Glasgow o2 accademy where they played the main stage as part of the Future Fest. Drawing from a wide range of influences including Biffy Clyro, Cage The Elephant, Foals, Arctic Monkeys, The Strokes amongst many, many more Return To The Sun have developed an edgy melodic heavy indie rock sound which hasn't gone unnoticed having received airplay from XFM, BBC Introducing as well as receiving praise from NME and Guardian writer Izzy Sampson when she said Return To The Sun were "ones to watch out for". 2014 was a big year for the Edinburgh band having played their first two festivals in the shape of The Isle Of Wight Festival and the Great Escape Festival before undertaking second UK tour which took them from a sold out show in Edinburgh to a sold out show in London in promotion of their debut single 501. 2015 saw the release of two more singles, both XFM Breakout Tracks, before the band returned to the studio. The resultant EP, ElevenFiftySeven, scheduled for release on the 4th of December, will see Return To The Sun close out the year with a bang. "The material I've heard so far demonstrates that they've certainly got what it takes to get to the next level" - Jim Gellatly "Definitely one to keep an eye on" - James Santer (BBC Introducing) "Eclectic and emotive indie rock, there’s a whole raft of influences here, without sounding like anyone in particular, you can detect Muse, Radiohead, Manics. Strong tunes excellently executed." - Bugbear "More epic than Rome and tighter than the Tory party budget" - Feast www.returntothesun.co.uk www.soundcloud.com/returntothesun www.twitter.com/returntothesun1 https://itunes.apple.com/gb/album/eskimo-bones-ep/id739778855 Rambunctious indie rumblings.
