Iron & Wine

Great show! It was hot & sticky, but Sam was in top form & had lots of stories to tell between songs. About Andy Warhol (a Pittsburgher) & even Dr. Oz (dude from New Jersey running for Senator in PA). He came back & played with Andrew Bird & the band, then just him & Bird played together. Great crowd! Went alone, but met some new friends.

Great show, but far too short! I guess one of T he downsides of having such a great catalog of music is the inability to play everything the fans want at every show. The show could have been a bit longer so that a few more tunes could be played, but what WAS played was truly Back to Basics. GREAT STUFF!

Excellent. If you like that type of music, it really doesn't get any better. Of course, sitting outside on a grassy hill watching them and watching the sun go down with a sweet tea vodka in hand would be tops but this was still great

I love seeing Sam and Calexico was great. The Majestic is aptly named but the lighting guy is a jerk! Up in the balcony we could not look at the stage for a a lot of show. A little bit higher would have made the ceiling look great and then we could have enjoyed all of the show. That being said, thanks to all the musicians and crew for a great show.

I have to say, I was there for Iron and Wine. It was good, but I'd much rather see just Iron and Wine and not him playing with Calexico. In the future I wouldn't go see the two of them together.

Natalie Prass/ Iron and Wine and Calexico/ Andrew Bird at the Rockland Trust Pavilion tonight in Boston. Have to admit I was there for Sam Beam and Calexico and they put on a fantastic set. My most favorite thing (aside from how damn well they played as a unit) was their cover of “Bring on the Dancing Horses,” by Echo and the Bunnymen-completely unexpected cover and beautifully done. Natalie Prass opened very nicely and is worth keeping an eye on. I have followed Andrew Bird a bit, but tonight he converted me. I will now pay much closer attention. This guys a genius and his band is none too shabby either. Madison Cunningham on guitar was a standout, but the whole band is just cracking. Amazing show. He is immensely talented and versatile.

Warm up band was awful and loud, bad combination. Nauseating. Loved the main show, iron & wine with Calexico was much greater than the sum of their parts, both instrumentally and compositionally.

Incredible show. The band is great...beam leads them marvelously. His songs don’t need a band as they don’t need his songs but together, the show is absolutely beautiful.

The opening act was mediocre and performed longer then Iron and Wine. When he finally got on stage, he seemed grumpy that everyone didn’t LOVE the opening act- sorry, they were just meh. They seemed overly melancholy, with few lyrics of merit to prop their dreary act up on. Their attempts at putting tension in their music was ill placed and poorly timed. No one does dissonance like Iron wine though, and that’s who we came to hear. I loved the music he and the band performed, it was brilliant and masterfully poetic as always. It just seemed short and he seemed irritated at the audience. Granted, the audience was late, and wouldn’t sit the f down, maybe I’d be grumpy too. .

Fantastic concert. Love the lyrics, singing, interaction with audience, great percussionist, tight band. Opening band Om was difficult to listen to, base way too loud, uncomfortable and ruined hearing for opening of Iron and Wine.

I loved everything about this performance, the sound team did great and the set was sick. Sam as always did an incredible job and Ohmme the opening band was really cool.

Great set list of old and new, great variations on songs, crowd was thrilled and the band looked like they were having fun. Can't ask for a better show.

Great show, but John Moreland will never be forgotten. Amazing add by Iron and Wine. John killed it. Thanks so much for being a part of this.

This should say 5 stars! Damn app. He gave us a truly great show. His band was talented and the instrumentation was a compliment, never dominant. Except I adored the drummer/percussionist. He was dryly funny and he loved that we were so thrilled to see him—mutual appreciation.

Great music, but the audience was the rudest of any I've ever been in. The theatre seating is too small and I had to lean forward to not be squished by the two strangers on either side of me.

The band sounded great, but the venue is a little lacking. Lots of seats that are obstructed by pillars. There’s no air conditioning and no ventilation. Also, the stage set up was not conducive for the upstairs seats.

San and Cooper complimented each other very well. There was a lot of audience interaction and they were full of jokes and had a wonderful time playing. I wouldn't miss them if they were anywhere close.

Iron and wine was incredible although we were under the impression that he was headlining. We missed the first few songs and were so disappointed in the way it was put together. Glen Hansard was subpar. Head and heart was great. We are all fans now. This show should've been clearer on tickets and websites as these iron and wine fans walked out VERY disappointed.

Samuel was awesome, the band however, was lackluster at best. The backup singers were lost and off key, and the trumpet player broke his solo along with many many other missed notes. Simply put, simple is better - Sam's solo numbers were beautiful as always.

It was absolutely amazing! Such a treat! Iron and Wine has fantastic stage presence and manners. When a musician is better live, that's when you know they're a true artist. <3
