Dan Balmer

I had a lovely time at the Dan Balmer/ Adlai Alexander concert last night! They played: Can't Find my Way Home by Blind Faith, Wichita Lineman by Glen Campbell, More Today Than Yesterday by the Spiral Starecase, and then did a tribute to the late great Dolly Parton with her song Jolene. The music and wine flowed, and the entire audience had a great time!

I had a lovely time at the Dan Balmer concert, but did not get to hear it! I found out too late that there was a patio where the music was being heard, and all the tables were filled. I went and had some delicious fondue and chatted with my girlfriend and had a great time. At one point I saw Dan in the bar and went and talked to him. He invited me to several upcoming gigs, I got to talk to him for 5 minutes, and he gave me a high five, which made the whole thing worth it! Next time I will have a reservation!

I was not at Corkscrew last night, but I did see Dan on the 2nd at Jo Bar, doing the music of Arnette Coleman. The music flowed, as I ate my delicious french onion soup. I did not know any of the songs, like I usually do, but the lovely surroundings, the the beautiful music, the wonderful service, and the delicious food made for a lovely night overall!

The Ron Steen Band with Dan Balmer at Arrivederci Wine and Jazz was nothing short of delightful! The music flowed, and was gorgeous, the service and surroundings were wonderful!! They even have a bottle of Moet et Chandon, just like in the song Killer Queen, by the band Queen. I always wondered what they were talking about! Got to talk to my friend Dan, so a successful night all around!

The Dan Balmer concert last night was pretty idyllic! He started out with my favorite of his songs, and there was a quiz later! 🙂 The bartender remembered me from 6 months ago, the food was delicious, the dessert delectable, the environment. lovely, the music. incredibly beautiful! Dan played some of his older songs, that I know and love. it was like oldies night! 😁 I got to talk to my friend Dan three times, and just had a lovely time all around!

The Dan Balmer concert at Jo Bar Sunday night was a very magical evening! The music was incredibly beautiful, the surroundings are breathtaking, food is good and reasonable, they have expert, friendly bartenders who make sure you are taken care of! The only song I recognized was Hearts of Steel, which Dan wrote for his belated friend Jim Pepper All around a lovely evening!

I wasn't at this concert, but on April 20th I saw Dan with Adlai Alexander at Corkscrew Wine Bar.. I didn't get to sit downstairs because of so many people, but we could hear the beautiful music! On my way out the door, Dan and Adlai put up their hands saying, stop. We haven't sung you. Happy birthday yet! The whole bar proceeded to sing me. Happy birthday. Best birthday of my whole life, thank you, Dan and Adlai!

Dan's gig with Ron Steen Quartet last night was truly magical! The room was beautiful, with jazz art everywhere. The food was reasonably priced, plentiful and delicious, the service was perfect, and the music was amazing! A man tap-danced throughout an entire song, no small feat! Many people were dancing, a good time was had by all!

Adali Alexander and Dan Balmer made a great duo in an intimate venue. We really enjoyed the excellent performance and interaction.

Dan Balmer's birthday jam/bash was a blast! There was a cake with a guitar on it, good food and spirits served by a friendly and skilled staff, lovely weather, and The Quiet Trio accompying Dan. They did a lovely version of The Beatles' "Yesterday." At the end, we all sang Dan "Happy birthday." I couldn't hear what Dan was saying to the crowd, but I did get to wish my good friend Dan Happy birthday!

I didn't see this show, but was delighted to see Dan with Adlai Alexander at Corkscrew Wine Bar a few weeks ago. Live music is best, and Dan is Portland's best music! The surroundings are quite nice, tasty beer and wine flowed while Dan and Adlai played beautifully! It was unannounced, yet well-attended. While Adlai belted out More Today than Yesterday I was snapping my fingers and dancing in my seat. Add a little general silliness on both their parts, and it all made for an enchanting evening!
