Victor Wooten

Fantastic show! The brothers were amazing together, and their play was super tight. Did a great job showcasing each brother’s talents. Got the crowd involved. I wish I was familiar with the Wooten Brothers before this show, but they have made me a fan, and I’ll be attending future shows in my area. They were also very gracious to their fans after the show. Spending time signing items and taking selfies. Highly recommend anyone remotely interested to check them out.

This was a Wooten Brothers show with everyone but Rudy, may he rest in peace. They did some of their earliest songs and some of the hits. They even pulled out some recently rediscovered tracks, I believe for the first time since they we're lost. Ran into Regi and Joseph outside the green room and what can I say but they are great dudes. They even remembered, or pretended to, playing a venue I saw them at 15 years prior.

Very Interactive and easy to follow. The Wooten brothers understand the dangers they have together, one being Victor! They solved this issue with making the concert like a book. A foreword in the beginning, you can tell it’s quite old with the special effects in the video, but nevertheless educates you on all five brothers; Joesph, Regi, Roy, Victor, and Rudy (passed but not forgotten). The Body was pieces of music from covers, one from Béla Fleck and the Flecktones, and from Joesph. All the brothers got their time to shine, some songs got technical in counting and crowd participation, but all the songs had a message to carry. I got to see them in the later of their leg of the tour so they were all locked in and maximizing their ability in every song. It was Funk, Jazz, Fusion/Rock, but most of all, the message that we’re together! Going to remember this concert until I die!

The show was good. The light show was way overdone and I had to spend several songs with my hand shading my eyes because flashing bright white lights kept hitting me right in the eye. Would live to see Victor again doing some jazz next time.

The musical mastery of the Wooten Brothers was on full display last night at The Ark in AA! Each member of the band gave all they had, and their chemistry flowed out and through the entire audience, as the sold out crowd rose for multiple well deserved standing ovations during a night that all in attendance will never forget!!

Highly anticipated show that was worth the wait! This was my 5th time seeing Victor. The last time was 12 Dec, 2013 in Philadelphia with his brothers as well. Loved every minute, then and now. I would have gone to Perth to see them the next night if I could have!

Not only was the music serious, but the show was fun as well because of the Bros entertaining camaraderie. Victor Wooten is the best, especially with family support! 😂 I have probably been to almost 200 shows at the belly up over the last 40 years and it never fails to be a great experience.

Wow! Hearing Victor tell stories about the Wooten brothers playing their first performances decades ago with War, and then seeing & hearing Michael Winslow + the legendary Lee Oskar playing a 'harmonica duet' with Victor and his brothers live on stage together to finish the evening was an epic fever-dream of awesomeness. Superlative. Best examples of how performers at the top of their craft treat each other and their fans. Greatest Of All Time, Bravo!

My brother and I went to this show last night. Of course it's Victor Wooten, and I'd give a 5 star rating if it weren't for the venue. We had no idea there would be NO SEATS at this show, which we found a bit odd. Also, for the talent of Mr. Wooten, Cory Wong and his exquisite musicians, I wish they could land the Fox Theater or something- it would sound so much better in there, but overall- the actual music and show was fantastic!

Cory is strictly a rythym guitarist. He does nothing but funk which can put some people to sleep from the boredom. He is part of the rythym section that consisted of drums, bass, keyboards and Cory. I would give the rythym section a 7 out of 10. The horn section brought their A Game. They were tight as a drum. I consider Chicago's horn section the gold standard and these guys came so close to that high bar. Everyone of them had the chops and they were on full display at this GIG. Victor played for around 30 minutes while the bands regular bass player went off stage. Victor is spectacular at all of his performances. I have seen him with his family in Detroit. I would much rather have seen him alone. He stated that Bela is putting the group together, but only on the west coast. Why Cory never turned Victor loose is a mystery. Just 4 minutes of Acapella would have satisfied me. Why bring Victor along? Maybe Cory knew that Victor would draw a much larger crowd? The warm up band turned out to be the best band on stage. They are rooted in country. They stated they were from Nashville. This band was so entertaining. This was one of the tightest vocals I have heard in a long time. Each vocalist held their own even when they botched one of the intros. I hope they tour as the main act. I will certainly pay good money to see them perform. Sorry Cory. I cannot tell a lie.

This was beyond great. I discovered victor in the early 2000s and as a young bass player, he has always been a huge influence to me. I was so glad almost 20 years later I finally got to see him in person! Not only that but it made my year that him, Steve Bailey, and Derico Watson hung out to meet and greet their fans and sign autographs. Amazing talent, some great laughs listening to Victor and Steve's banter on stage. Great crowd interaction. I really hope to see them again in the future.

As a Bass Player, Victor Wooten and Steve Bailey are the state of the art. Victor’s exploration of techniques is at the leading edge of bass, and he is likely the greatest bass player on earth. Steve Bailey is not far behind, and his work on a six string fretless bass is incredibly melodic. I loved the concert.

I love Victor Wooten and have been seeing his shows since 1992ish. The show was great but the drums were too loud, no offense Greg. There was a person yelling out, almost heckling in a friendly way, that security should have addressed, imo. The lights against the wall are distracting if you have seats there as they are bright but, overall, the venue is great! Easy in, easy out, no issues with parking and friendly staff and clean restrooms!

This was a awesome show and I hope that everyone that’s a fan of these guys to go and check them out when they come to a venue near you..!!! And there were many bass players and musicians in house. Shout out to the engineer for providing a great sound. MA..🦋

The musicianship was amazing, of course. Victor was obviously amped to play for his home town crowd and friends that showed up. Problem was the overwhelming bass resonance between two basses and a booming bass drum. Often sections of the performance, especially Steve's more subtle passages were impossible to hear.

Absolutely amazing show! Victor, Regi, and Joseph together, what a treat! And Derico WOW that man is incredible as is smooth man Karlton!! My son is a 19 year old bassist and loves Victor! We were right next to the stage and he was in heaven!

Amazing performance! Wonderful intimate venue. One complaint was the lack of specific times for door open times especially since there is a “no Re-entry” policy. To give concert time on ticket and web site as 7pm to 1130 pm and to REALLY mean doors open at 7 , concert starts at 815ish and ends 1030 should be transparent. Staff is very nice.

Absolutely phenomenal! The entire band is made up of incredible musicians individuality and fusioned together for the oddest collage of classical, prog-rock, jazz and bluegrass... And it works!! I thought each musician shined in their own right;Bela playing banjo with the cleanliness, speed and accuracy of John McLaughlin. Future Man with his futuristic keyboard/buttons guitarish shaped percussion instrument (kind of) thing.But above all Victor stood out the most. His talent is simply astonishing. His showmanship is engaging and mind blowing. My recommendation? If you EVER get the chance to see him...JUMP ON IT!!

This was awesome! I have enjoyed Victor Wooten's music for about six years, but the live event was over the top. I especially enjoyed the solo portion of the performance. He came out to meet the audience afterwards, signing autographs and taking pictures. He even took a selfie with me. Whenever he comes back to the area, I intend to be there.

Great show!! The boys always put on a fantastic show, the Wooten brothers are so extremely talented sometimes the show suffers. Some of the solo sections went on way too long. Victor got way less stage time than the other brothers. Still overall, great stuff.
