Jay Tea

Jay Tea aka JT Turret has been active in music and the music industry for over 10 years. A well known face around the Northeast punk scene as a member of the bands SPROUT and ARROGANT SONS OF BITCHES, and as the "Minister of Information" at THE DOWNTOWN ( www.myspace.com/thedowntown ). He has also been cutting his teeth as a solo-acoustic artist since 1999. He recently self-released the CD "Threw Away Your demo", his first solo album, which will be followed up by "The Scene Dies At Sunrise" to be released Fall 2006. This summer Jay Tea brought his act on the road as the ONLY solo artist on every date of the 10 week long VANS WARPED TOUR 2006, playing twice daily as a featured performer in DR.MADD VIBES MEDICINE CABINET where he would often collaborate with the legendary Angelo Moore of FISHBONE. He has also toured the United States 4 times with his punk band and done various other solo tours in 2005 and 2006. **** Jay Tea's solo shows include crowd participation, stand-up, impressions, and of course, his own brand of musical comedy. Plus he will play any request for any song ever written (even if he hasn't heard it). His overly energetic stage show is nicely complimented by a 4 octave vocal range and an overwhelming amount of bravado.
