About LE SON
LE SON (Liam Fergus and Emily Ady) are an electronic duo from South/East London, UK.
Hailing from a combination of Stratford, East London and Llantrisant, South Wales, Liam and Emily come together to create a minimal yet soulful sound, inspired by their contrasting musical influences. Liam's production style blends his love of jazz and experimental artists such as Robert Glasper, Flying Lotus and James Blake whilst Emily's soulful yet haunting vocal style is inspired by darker and more electronic artists such as Radiohead, Portishead and Fever Ray.
Their first single 'Without a Sound' gained popularity after appearing on Oprah Winfrey Network drama 'Queen Sugar' in September 2016, and the Athlete Whippet remix of the track featured on Tom Ravenscroft's BBC Radio 6 Music show.
Their latest double single 'Ava / 1008' was released in July 2017 to worldwide acclaim online.
Liam and Emily write, record and produce all of their music themselves and perform in a live setting as a four-piece band, including live bass and drums.
