About Gabrial James
Gabrial James Lundy, performing under the moniker Gabrial James, is a singer/songwriter from Grand Rapids, MI and currently resides in Fruitport, MI. He has been playing the guitar since the age of fourteen and singing since the age of eight.
He received formal vocal training at St. Cecilia Music Society of Grand Rapids from 1985-1989 under renowned conductor and professor of music, Anton Armstrong. St. Cecilia provided young Gabrial the opportunity to perform with the Grand Rapids, Detroit, and Chicago symphonies as well as collaborations with other local choirs and musical outfits.
Gabrial got his start performing live while hosting one of the longest running open mic nights at Billy’s Lounge in Grand Rapids from 2003-2010.
His style consists of smooth, percussive guitar rhythms with an unforgettable vocal range. His live shows consist of original material as well as an impressive variety of cover songs spanning several genres and decades.
