About God Falls

Hailing from the suburbs of Montreal, Quebec GODFALLS forged its way into the competitive ever-growing underground metal scene. Inspired by the Finnish and Swedish new-wave of melodic metal, with a highly-rated deathcore progressive sound, GODFALLS provides a ride that is breathless, exhilarating and as terrifying as an overdose. Considering that they've been crafting their sound since 2006, it is strong to say a great friendship is at the core of the band & are definitely poised to showcase what it means to play with intelligence and passion. GOD FALLS strives to push their musical composition and live performance to new levels, never settling for mediocrity. The academic and professional skills of each member, such as graphic design, photography and web programming, were involved in the creative process of the band's image (artwork, websites, cd cover and merch design). GOD FALLS then released a 5 tracks ep "ANOTHER SUN EXISTS", touring Quebec & Ontario giving each night and crowd an energetic and tight performance. GODFALLS drew significant attention when it took part in the 2008 MOSHCORE Festival which featured Ion Dissonance. The band was also invited to play at the 2008 edition of the annual St-Jean Metal Fest, which was headlined by The Acacia Strain. In November 2008, GODFALLS won DTOX BAND WAR, a contest among all the best unsigned bands of Quebec. This event, hosted by Extensive Enterprise, led to a guest spot on the Cleansing The Nation tour, where God Falls shared the stage with Suicide Silence and Emmure. However, the 5 piece band was more then ever dedicated and focused on reaching their main goal: getting more shows, and bringing their music out of Montreal. A few months later, they went on a tour with Abacabb across Ontario and Quebec. After several shows, tons of internet success, GODFALLS released "Make Me Alpha" their debut full-length album produced mixed & mastered by Tony Lussier & Yanic Desgroseiller. The and will feature 10 sharpenned and cohesive tracks, built on a blasting combination of staggering riffs and the cynicism of singer's lyrics. In addition to the standard elements of the genre, this band adds in female vocals giving a novel texture to the songs without being intrusive. Moving step by step, GODFALLS knows that hard-working and "do-it yourself" attitude will always be keys to success. With great reviews already the band has teamed up with Kevin Fernandes from Mainstage Entertainment Artist Management and will be taking over Canada & The United States.
