About The MurMurators

THE MURMURATORS – BIOGRAPHY CAROL TATUM: Carol Tatum is a harpist, multi-instrumentalist, composer/arranger and producer formerly on Windham Hill Records. She is an ASCAP member and has released six CDs of original music internationally as well as appearing on over 20 compilations CDs for Windham Hill with engineer Florian Ammon (Rammstein, Van Halen, Quincy Jones, Mariah Carey, etc.). Formerly of Dallas, Texas and now living in Los Angeles, Carol is known mostly as harpist/composer/producer for the band Angels Of Venice which she founded in 1993 whose core sound is harp, cello, bouzouki and flute combining Medieval, early Renaissance and original Alternative World and Neoclassical styles. Guest female vocals are sung in English, Galacian-Portuguese, Latin and archaic French languages taking the listener on a sonically rich journey through various time periods and countries around the world. Carol was also co-writer for the Led-Zeppelin-inspired rock band Kingdom Come, for three albums entitled "Hands Of Time" (Polygram), "Bad Image" (WEA International) and "Rendered Waters" (released April, 2011). Currently, Carol and former bandmate Swan Montgomery have reunited to form the alternative Celtic band The MurMurators whose songs are Irish tunes with modern rock-influenced arrangements. Carol and Swan have recorded their debut release simply entitled “The MurMurators” for a mid 2013 release date. Carol and Swan will be performing live in the U.S. and Europe during the latter part of 2013. SWAN MONTGOMERY: Born in Drogheda, Ireland, Swan Montgomery is a vocalist, musician and producer/engineer most notable for his role as “Robert Plant” in the internationally successful tribute band "Led Zepagain." Montgomery joined Led Zepagain twenty years ago and the group has toured the world including the U.S. and Canada, Europe, Japan, South America, etc., performing sold out shows worldwide in major international venues, concert halls, performing arts centers, etc. Swan was invited to perform on stage with The Who vocalist Roger Daltry as well as being a guest vocalist with many other internationally known musicians. As a solo artist, Swan will soon release his second solo CD called “Ogham” consisting of original world music with co-writer Bo Whineberg (2013 release). Montgomery is an accomplished producer and engineer who worked on currently released CDs by Paul Kelly ("Enchantment") and Cynthia Romo ("The Journey") as well as composing for and producing young pop vocalist Sinead O’Callighan from Dundalk, Ireland. Swan has reached beyond Led Zepagain's electric show and created "Symphony To Heaven," a full-production acoustic show featuring custom visuals and a string quartet playing original string arrangements to many of Zeppelin's classic acoustic songs. In addition, Swan and Bo Whineberg have recently created "Evermore," a full-scale multimedia production currently in development. Swan currently lives in Los Angeles, California.
