Bryan Adams’ recent show at Madison Square Garden was pure rock nostalgia done right — and proof that his voice is still as powerful and authentic as it was in the 1980s. From the opening chords to the final encore, he delivered every hit — “Summer of ’69,” “Run to You,” “Heaven” — with the same raw energy and raspy, heartfelt tone fans fell in love with decades ago. The sound was crisp, the band tight, and Adams’ connection with the crowd electric. Far from a simple throwback, it felt timeless, a reminder that true rock voices don’t fade, they just get better with age.

Saw Bryan for the 3rd time in about 4 years in our area. Twice in MSG and once in Prudential center. Always a phenomenal show . He still sounds like his albums .also saw him way back in the 90s maybe late 80s ,cant remember exact year. I do remember Sting popping in to his show. Sting had a show in what was called the FELT FORUM back then. I think its called the THEATRE at MSG now . Go see him. He won't disappoint.

I was skeptical about old Bryan going into the night. He started out differently by coming to the second stage near our seats and got the crowd going with an acoustic of Straight From The Heart. I have seen others use that stage midway through but never to start so kudos to him. He then blasted through almost 3 hours of his full catalog of 16 albums and I was pleasantly surprised how many were not shitty ballads to put me to sleep. The led lights were a bit distracting at times but no seizures thankfully. He hit all my faves and I even added a few more. Felt similar to when we saw Bruce Springsteen but not as iconic internationally but definitely a North American icon. Overall it was a solid show and I would do it again.

About Bryan Adams

Bryan Adams OC, OBC, (born 5 November 1959) is a Canadian rock singer, guitarist, songwriter and photographer. Some of his best-known albums are Reckless, 18 til I Die, and Waking Up the Neighbours. His most recent album is "So Happy It Hurts" which was nominated for a Grammy Award.

It was on his third album 'Cuts Like A Knife' in 1983, that Adams developed a large following in the USA with the help of MTV. His fourth album, 'Reckless', often referred to as one of the most significant of the 1980's, broke him worldwide, and he went on tour with Tina Turner and performed their duet "It's Only Love" .

'Waking Up The Neighbours' in 1991, was another huge album for Adams. The single '(Everything I Do) I Do For You' (taken from 'Waking Up The Neighbours') was 16 weeks at number 1; it broke a UK record that had stood since 1955 and still stands today. Back in the USA it was pretty much the same story where it became the second largest selling single to 'We Are The World'; Adams received his first Academy Award nomination for the song and he was also nominated for a Golden Globe. 42 film Directors' have used Adams' music in soundtracks - from Don Juan DeMarco (1995) to Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron (2002).
Adams was awarded the C.M. (Member of the Order of Canada) on April 20th 1998 and the C.O. (Officer of the Order of Canada) on May 6th 1988 for his contribution to popular music and his philanthropic work. He was also inducted into Canada's Walk of Fame in 1998, and more recently inducted into the Music Hall of Fame at Canada's Juno Awards in April 2006. He has been nominated for three Academy Awards for songwriting, and was nominated for his fifth Golden Globe (2007) for his songwriting in the film 'Bobby'.
