Half Moon Devil

Deeply rooted in the ways of the old gods of the 70’s, Half Moon Devil lives under a modern atmosphere surrounding an ageless rock groove. Building off of a heavy and driving rhythm section featuring insistent, tasteful drumming and melodic, chopsy basslines, the guitars utilize a combination of atmospheric chordal playing reminiscent of modern post-rock styles and classic balls-out rock and roll straight from the Led Zeppelin playbook. On top of it all are often beautiful, and always demanding of your attention, bluesy lead vocals accompanied by passionate yet haunting harmonies taking you on a lyrical adventure of the soul. Deriving their creativity from the surrounding “little big city” of Minneapolis, these twenty-somethings bring you along on their journey through life, laying it all bare on songs like “Ice on the River” and “Black Label Baby”, and bringing it back to the lighter side with songs like “Sweet Somethings” and “Long Way Home”.
