Once in a lifetime experience. Small venue, excellent performers. I was pretty much front row. The brass was amazing. All the guitar players wailed, George Clinton is a legend, and I got to keep the drummers drumstick. As a fellow drummer, I can saw that he was a legend, as were the horns, base, keyboard guitarist (they shredded) and all the vocalist.
Easily in the top 5 shows I've been to this year, and I go to 30-50 shows a year

I’m so glad I got to witness some real live P-FUNK before they hang up their boots. Hats off to the Wellmont again for being a great host venue. Success all around!

This show was pure fire. One of the best shows I've experienced in my life. Maggot Brain in full while George instructed the crowd to sit and chill for a bit and take a break. No words. Just Yes.

I had the time of my life and I had no clue fishbone was going to be there. I was lucky to see them and it was amazing. One nation under a groove ❤️

Fishbone was absolutely amazing bit PFUNK these days(what's left of them) is really disappointing. Barely any members there with instruments and half the band now is a George Clinton and his children trying to rap or sing and this past show not even doing songs, or jamming out. It was basically them soether hyping or trying to do bizarre psychedelic parts of songs and it sounded terrible. When I saw them in 2012 they were amazing and most members still prrsent. Loved Fishbone but that was it. Would be 1-2 stars for PFUNK.

The opening act was good, although I missed half of their set. Fishbone was hot very innovative musicians who play various instruments. George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic were just as energetic, funky, spot on as the group was back in the '70's. Although the band has had transitions with key members from the early days this rendition had you transported aboard the Mother ship to the glory years of Parliament. Not to be stuck in nostalgia George's children and I'm sure grandchildren who are vital members show how Funk is it's own reward as they have you Hip Hop and Rock tunes that cooked. Who said a Funk band can't play Rock and Roll and Hip Hop? Great experience, George Clinton is phenomenal at 81 years young

The show itself, featuring George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic was fire and I had a funky good time!
However, the venue was no-frills, hence why I'm not giving 5 stars. After standing outside for over an hour with the understanding that the doors would open at 6:30 pm, in true CP fashion, they did not open until 7 pm., and there was no communication about it. Also, it was a bit extra and unnecessary to stage temporary security bars for a crowd over 50 but you can never be too careful!
I think that the venue could have hired a host to announce the artists, should have utilized their curtains on stage to hide the musicians and stage crew while they were setting their equipment up, and could have chosen more appropriate music to get the crowd ready. Consider hiring a DJ next time!
All in all, it was an honor and a privilege to see the godfather of funk perform!

Merch for Clinton sold out before concert started. It would be good if they brought more to let fans get a chance to buy a T-shirt or other souvenirs. Great to hear the oldies and all the jams.

Unable to access my purchased tickets online (sec. C, row 2, seats 1 and 2), we were lucky enough to receive two complimentary passes from the venue owner representative that got myself and my daughter, into the show.
The artistry of George Clinton and PARLIAMENT FUNKADELIC was off-the-hook, awesome! The group had me funky and grooving the entire show. This concert, though I missed getting to sit in the second row seat (I had paid a premium price for), I really did have the very best possible experience! Thank you for the groove and good times!

George Clinton & Parliament-Funkadelic was Fuckhorrific! Every song they played was a hit! I’m so sad to see George Clinton leave. But I was also very happy to see Uché (from American Idol), I freaked out on this show and the fact I seen him along with George Clinton & Parliament-Funkadelic. It was sooo sick! So glad I got to see them before George retired. I have to say my third favorite concert I have ever been too! Great show.

Parliament is a high-energy, fun band to watch and dance to. George Clinton still brings the positivity and Mothership connection, though his time at the front of the stage is clearly behind him. Pioneer Courthouse Square is actually a very nice, ad hoc concert venue with nice spacing and good facilities.

A true professional and artist, his energy and old school funk, mixed with rock and excellent musicianship, dancers and lights along a summer night on the riverfront was magical . The diversity of the crowd ang age groups show the pull of a legend,I first saw him here in 1976 while in highschool,46 years later and the legend lives...long live the FUNK!

Excellent show. Crowd really up for it. All the "hits". Would have preferred "Magot Brain" to House of Pain cover, but really well done. Musicianship was top form.
Sound in venue though was really muggy. Seemed really packed, good for atmosphere but people just seemed to be constantly moving around so continually letting people through. Plus bugs me that the festival attitude has now moved indoors, I . E. Hey why don't we push to the front to shout our conversation in front of the people who have come to enjoy the music. WTF.
Anyway glad I went, 45yrs after first witnessing the landing of the Mothership GC was in great form.

What an exhilarating performance from all the musicians. I have been to hundreds of shows with a variety of bands / artist over the years ( my first in 1967) This was up there with the very best of them. So obvious that George and Parliament Funkadelic love what they do but it was also professional, tight and had real heart.
Fantastic performance from every single band member individually that collectively made for a memorable show.

Kissed George for his birthday! And my newish Funk Hip got a mighty fine work out shaking it on on stage with Sir Nose.
Epic epic epic gig!
Do come back, Funkateers. 😍

Thank u! I have been complaining about short shows these days...I had to open my store & y’all kicked ass until almost 1:35 am needless to say I had to work a double the next day sleep. Reminded me more of a Princd aftershow. THANKS FUNKADELIC

Awesome show, Uncle George wants you to funk with him! The show earlier at the Boulder Theater was a little better because all the members of the band got a solo, was kind of hoping to see that again.

Everything about this concert was pure fun. The openers were all teriffic and would be worth the cost of admission just to see them. Particularly Zapp, who had such amazing energy and costumes. When Dr. Funkenstein himself entered the stage, it felt like a celebration of an amazing musician's career. Starting it off with I'm Gonna Make You sick O'me wad a teriffic start and got everyone dancing. Solid opener and was made even better by incorporating "Get Off Your Ass." Then came Flashlight, and a string of tunes from the best years of his band. While I loved the concert, I could see that George has had a lesser role in many of his live shows, singing only occasionally, sitting down, and relying heavy on the backup singers to pull the lead. This is perfectly understandable, George is 77 and worked his ass off in the music business for decades. He still was full of so much energy, dancing and swaying with the occasional dab. While he was not always in the spotlight, he was why the show was amazing. You could see his passion. You could feel his love for both music and his fans. His presence on the stage is as virtuostic as ever, and this collection of songs combined with the showmanship of everyone involved made this show a fitting end for one of the most storied live performers in music. Please, if you have any opportunity to see this tour, go. See these timeless artists before they hang it up for good.

Really fun show. Fish one opened which was a great surprise. The only issue I had was that George Clinton didn’t really sing. He has a HUGE ensemble doing most of the singing while the he roams around. Flea fromThe a Red Hot Chili Peppers was next to us, enjoying the show. Added bonus!
