About A//Political
A//Political was an anarcho-punk band from Baltimore. Their style is similar to that of peace punk bands from the early 1980s. One member later went on to sing for Krema-1 in Boston in the mid-'90s. Members were involved in the Crasshole Collective and the Anarchist Youth Federation.
A//Political started the A.Y.F. (Anarchist Youth Federation), but was stopped short because of fighting between punk and non-punk members. The band, along with the Crasshole Collective, produced several communiques explaining their ideas on peace through anarchy. The band has also produced several other writings on anarchy and their political beliefs. The band dissolved sometime at the turn of the century. According to the members, an official retrospective 2008 discography, possibly to be released through Profane Existence, is in the works as soon as the master tapes for all 7"s and EPs are collected.
