Aksak

aksak aka Mehmet Koryurek was born in 1973 in Istanbul. His musical influences started with Jazz and Classical as he started flipping his dad’s records as early as he was three years old. He got into beats and 4/4 rhythms with the inrtoduction of Hip Hop and House to mainstream in the 80s. He has been DJing for over a quarter of a century, collecting records longer than that, helped establish two of the biggest dance music radio stations in Istanbul, played many bars, clubs, events and festivals along side some great talents both locally and internationally.
