Broken Toy

Broken Toy is James Copeland, a 24 year old from Cape Town, South Africa. He produces psytrance with a diverse style and a wide variety of moods for the dancefloor - from full-on to electro-funk, from deep and dreamy to tribal techno.

He also produced as a member of the more full-on project " Damage ", and has been successfully making psytrance since 2001. As Damage he was one of the pioneers of the now famous Cape Town psytrance scene, producing alongside other artists from South Africa like Shift, Artifakt, Protoculture and Phyx.

Since 2004 he was taken up as an Alchemy Records artist. He has gigged all over the world - Brazil, India, Russia, The UK, South Africa, Israel, Mexico, France, Spain, Austria, Italy, Greece, and Japan.
