About Hybrid Children
Hybrid Children will release new album WHERE PUB ROSES GROW on May 20th 2020
After an eleven-year break from recording new material, Finnish punk rockers Hybrid Children are releasing new album. Where Pub Roses Grow is out on May20th 2020. The long-matured song material has developed into versatile album where lyrics play a important role. The familiar Hybrid Children sound is still preserved, but the tone and colours have changed from the previous release.
"In our opinion, the previous album Fight As One was such a successful entity that there wasn’t really anything to add. It’s useless to start forcing something new if the previous calling card is still valid.", main songwiriter Jasse Salonen explains the long hiatus in releasing new material.
The name of Where Pub Roses Grow has its roots in the 20-year-old song Hang Us Higher and its lyrics “Went to the cold shores where pub roses grow. Got too much done got too close down too low.” A demo version of the song can be heard on the C-cassette release of the WHERE PUB ROSES GROW album.
Hybrid Children is a Finnish punk-rock band, which was formed in the early 1990's by Jasse (vocals/guitar), Kelly (drums/vocals), TV (guitar), and Jasse's cousin Jarno (bass). They released 3 EP's before their debut album "Bleed Baby Bleed!!!" (1993), which was rather succesful in the Finnish charts. Rest of the albums ("Honeymoon In Babylon" in 1994, "Uncensored Teenage Hardcore" in 1996, "Drugster" in 1998, " Stardom Is Here" in 1999, "Hybrid Moments" in 2001 and "Ghost Town Carnival" in 2004) were made in different kind of line-ups. In the year 2020 the line-up is Jasse (vocals/guitar), VV (bass), Saska (drums) and Juho (guitar).
