Ol Factory

Ol' Factory was formed during New Hampshire's cold Winter months of 2011/13. Guitarist Jt Lawrence, bassist Dave Taylor and keyboardist Nick Heys had succumbed to cabin fever and were trying to think warm thoughts by digging deep into the New Orleans funk sounds of the 60’s and 70’s. Using the gritty, dirty, raw southern thunder as the roots and back drop for a new project, they called on long time friend and drummer Mike Chadinha to handle the back beat and Ol' Factory was born. The boys started off covering vintage southern funk, classic rock B sides and American traditionals. They would often invite friends to join them on stage, one of these friends being vocalist and guitarist Shea Vaccaro. With Shea’s smokey and soulful voice and sincere stage presence they knew they had found the missing piece. In the Spring of 2013 Ol' Factory started writing their own material, combining the high energy of their live shows with the thoughtful lyrics and folk stylings of Shea while keeping the vintage feel in tact. They are currently working on their debut EP, set to be released in the Spring of 2014. In the meantime, the boys will continue playing dance halls and dive bars throughout New England.
