Little Dots

Nederlands: zie onder. Little Dots was born when guitarist Pablo and multi-instrumentalist Tom, deeply impressed by her angelic voice, decided to write songs for Sophia. For Pablo and Tom, who are both active in the music scene for quite some time, Sophia came out of the blue. Gradually it became a passionate exchange among three people with a common love for honest, acoustic songs. It was decided to chase dreams and plans were forged to record an album, with the addition of five gracious musicians from the Belgian scene. The album was recorded in Ghent, Belgium at studio Boma by Frederik Segers (Members of Marvelas, Stadt, Sioen). The music is described as being alternative pop, with the use of acoustic string and horn instruments, synth-bass, drums and percussion. Influences from Feist, The Beatles and Portishead, among others. Expected release in 2014. Nederlands: Little Dots is ontstaan toen gitarist Pablo en multi-instrumentalist Tom, onder indruk van haar engelachtige stem, beslisten om songs te schrijven voor Sophia. Voor Pablo en Tom, die al een tijdje in de muziekwereld vertoeven, kwam Sophia uit het niets. Gaandeweg werd dit een uitwisseling tussen drie mensen met een gedeelde liefde voor eerlijke akoestische songs. Er werd beslist om dromen na te jagen en een plaat op te nemen, met versterking van vijf gracieuze muzikanten uit de Belgische scene. De plaat werd opgenomen in studio Boma in Gent door Frederik Segers (Members of Marvelas, Stadt, Sioen). De muziek bevindt zich in de alternatieve popstroming, met gebruik van akoestische snaar- en blaasinstrumenten, synth-bas, drums en percussie. Invloeden van o.a. Feist, the Beatles en Portishead. Verwachte release van hun debuut in het voorjaar van 2014. Alternative pop, with the voice of Sophia accompanied by seven musicians in chamber music fashion.
