The Magic City Trio

Taking their initial inspiration from pre-war country music, The Magic City Trio released 'Amerikana Arkana' their debut LP in Aprll , and it has received some rave reviews. Twangy guitars and string arrangements that have led to comparisons with the music of Lee Hazlewood crossed with Ennio Morricone . Guitarist Frank Sweeney has previously played with classic inde band The June Brides, and did session for Primal Scream plus many other indy releases . The band play mostly in South East London , but have been known to travel further afield. The furthest gig away from home was at willie Nelsons Bar on the island of Maui in Hawaii.
