It has been a long journey, and Elisa Money has finally found her home in a fresh look at alt-folk music. The Canadian born songwriter and multi-instrumentalist has made her new home in Philadelphia, discovering a place for personal and musical growth. After doing time as a DIY punk frontwoman, singing in coffee-houses, and dabbling in the electronic music world, Money has gotten back in touch with her folk roots and is ready to share herself with the world. With an extensive classical training and a deep intuition for pop music, Money creates the catchiest of hooks, playing into what our ears have come to expect, then completely disregards the rules. Not only is her music beautifully crafted, but Money’s poetry touches upon universal emotions that will break anyone down to their most vulnerable state.
