DragonHarp

DragonHarp is born in Summer 2011 on initiative of harpist Rox Monico. The name is a reference to one of our favorite movies, Dragonheart, and to the instrument characterizing our power metal way: the electric harp. After several comings and goings (even a demo release in June 2013), in 2013 we get the "definitive" line-up. Ready to go, ready to fly (metaphorically)! In February 7, 2014, we share the stage with Trick Or Treat (led by vocalist Alessandro Conti) in Mariano Comense (CO); we consider ourselves to be honored by being opener to such talented artists. Unfortunately, not every DragonHarp member thinks the band’s destiny should be the same: in summer 2014, Carmine Iannuzzi and Burç Çelikoğlu (singer and rhythm guitarist) leave the band. After few months waiting and searching, Nicole Maselli joins us, in order to create something different from what we’ve been. In 2016, "Let The Dragon Fly" new EP is published.And the story ain’t over… I DragonHarp nascono nell'estate 2011 su iniziativa dell'arpista Rox Monico. Il nome è un riferimento a uno dei nostri film preferiti (Dragonheart) e allo strumento che caratterizza il nostro power metal: l’arpa. Dopo vari stravolgimenti di line-up (in mezzo ai quali si riesce a registrare una demo, nel giugno 2013), nel 2013 abbiamo la formazione “definitiva”. Pronti a spiccare il volo (si fa per dire)! Il 7 febbraio 2014 il gruppo supporta i Trick Or Treat (guidati dal cantante Alessandro Conti) al Circolo di Mariano Comense (CO): un onore per noi, suonare con artisti così talentuosi. Purtroppo, la visione del destino della band non è così condivisa: nell'estate 2014, Carmine Iannuzzi e Burç Çelikoğlu (rispettivamente cantante e seconda chitarra) lasciano il gruppo. Dopo alcuni mesi di ricerca e di pausa, si unisce a noi Nicole Maselli, con l’obiettivo di creare qualcosa di diverso da ciò che i DragonHarp sono stati prima. Nel 2016 viene fuori alla luce l'EP "Let The Dragon Fly". E la storia va avanti... May all dragonhunters shiver before us!!
