Almondy Brown's unique take on "good ole" rock-n-roll, with a tasteful blend of funk and hip-hop, began turning the heads of local promoters through their online presence even before they began performing live in March of 2016. This attention resulted in the overwhelming surprise of being asked to kick off their performance career by sharing the stage with national acts. What started out as fun Friday night jam sessions between bassist Matt Hingle and drummer Perry Earl, quickly evolved into the funky foundation of what eventually became known as Almondy Brown. With their sound being rounded off by the raw, yet refined, styling of guitarist Conan Raitt and the bottomless pit of soul and emotion in vocalist J. Grank, they began creating self-produced audio and video recordings of the material they were writing as well as their behind the scenes antics and goofy personalities. After completion of a four song demo, “Little Nut Brown Demo”, Almondy Brown immediately began working on their first full length album to be released early 2018. Their unique sound has a way of appealing to fans of many different genres of music, alike.
