Many bands face the effects of internal and external strife, plans falling through at the last minute, opportunities lost, line-up changes and distances. Few of them continue to raise their banner and move ahead. Aphelion is well within that 1%. Hailing from all over the United Kingdom and relocating to America, diversity has been key in dealing with adversity. These men have seen projects come and go, but the core is alive and well; growing stronger and more focused in an industry where most come to the conclusion, after hardships all too typical for bands of their bent (as well as hardships unique to unwavering veterans such as Kaleo James), that their dreams were better off as the delusions of a garage rock parody of what's trending. However, music is not a post workday pastime to Aphelion. There is no better occupation; no better benefits package, than to fight for the exposure of music fueled by such raw passion and hard-won technical skill. There are no alternative options. Expect nothing short of a cerebral meltdown at every show. Expect nothing short of precision on every track, that displays perfectionism bordering on obsessive and all-consuming self sacrifice. Expect to find no adjective ornate enough to pre-package us for tween retail. Expect more war, more casualties, more chaos... Just don't expect to hear of another band tapping out.
