Ethan Newman

Ethan Newman Electric Bass, Acoustic Guitar, Attempted Vocals Stage, Studio, Private Lessons Born and raised in Prescott, Arizona, Ethan grew up playing “country-metal” music on Prescott’s famed Whiskey Row. Ethan has played bass guitar in many prominent Arizona bands including, Azz Izz, The Robert Street Band, Zowie Bowie, Mogollon, TATE, Capital Down, Delcoa, and Eastonashe. Mildly dyslexic and profoundly left-handed, Ethan plays a unique style of “backwards, upside-down, confusing-reverse” bass and guitar. Due to a series of unfortunate accidents, Ethan has jammed on stage with Percy Sledge, Alice Cooper, Meatloaf, Ray Parker Jr., and Fishbone. As a volunteer for the Department of Defense, Ethan has been lucky enough to rock for America’s military personnel in places like Korea, Japan, Okinawa, Guam, Bosnia, Kosovo, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Qatar, and Djbouti. Over the years, Ethan has performed,collaborated and recorded with a wide array of original artists including: Southwest hip-hopper SEVIN, Alt-rockers Mergatron, The Chris Tafoya Band, Jay Allan, Delcoa, Jay Poole, Ashley Norton, The Final, Mike Mercier, Robert Street, Azz Izz Band, Ryan Sims, Jeffery Taylor, The Grand Canyon Sand Band featuring Brad Newman, Colourstore, Pipes, Michael Gahn, Supersoul, Cali Rodi, The Waters, Mr. Meeble, Cameo Hill, Gallego, Dysfunkshun, Nuthin Fancy ...and others. Ethan has strenuously studied music for many years and is now confident that he has mastered both the “happy” scale and the “sad” scale.
