About Soulstrum
SoulStrum formed in 2005 amid the West Texas dust of the Permian Basin music scene. When the dust settled the band had released a full length album and delivered the truth through music to rock fans around the region. In 2012 the band underwent a transformation in lineup, life changes and the calling to be musical messengers of biblical truth became stronger and clearer than ever.
SoulStrum’s sound is a sonic barrage of soulful rock mixed with southern songwriting. Frontman Stephen Stroope leads with powerful vocals and delivers a sermon in song through bold lyrics about life through the eyes of a believer. Original guitarist Weston Jordan continues to expand the borders of sound by exploring every tone that can be made by a six string. Erik VanCuren joined the band in 2011 and brings crunch into the rhythm section through guitar and bass. Zeke Stroope runs the engine of the band through drums and not only brings new power but new blood as he is officially 2nd Generation SoulStrum.
In a world where the search for truth seems to be growing more desperate and music that moves the soul seems to be waining, SoulStrum has heard the call and answers with a sound that is unique and undeniable and a message that never waivers and must be delivered to every man, woman, and child.
