About copyflex
Copyflex was born in the oil capital of Norway, Stavanger, April 1st. 1977. In 1997 he packed a truck full of music gear, furniture, his sheepdog and moved to Copenhagen. He worked as a stockbroker for a year, then for the local financial-scandals socialite, Klaus Riskær, all while slowly getting a foothold on the city's music scene. He made his first appearances in Copenhagen in 2000, playing homemade synths, broken amps, feedbackloops and machines; quickly becoming one of the leading figures of the Copenhagen experimental and noise music scene. In 2001 he met one of his first dancy collaborateurs, the danish godfather of techno music, Bjørn Svin, who turned Copyflex on to rythmical music. At this time Copyflex was still only into playing live music. Then he turned dj by accident, because his live gear broke down 1 hour before a live set in 2005. Then Bjørn Svin taught him a few tricks which both he and the crowd loved - and Copyflex is still busy dj'ing even more. Nowadays Copyflex is one of the most popular dj´s in Copenhagen due to his capacity to combine party music with creative experiments and homemade edits and mashups. Although some of this popularity derives from his more-than-lively stage appearance. In addition to his solo performances, Copyflex is also a driving force behind projects like the digital vikingo crew Copia Doble Systema and the slow-rave styled duo called Copyfokking. Copyflex has also joined the talented artist COLONEL / Thierry Geoffroy in 2006 as an assistant, producer, representative and musician. Copyflex has played all over the map. One can mention places like reggaebars and clubs in Hanoi, Philippino sports arenas, Roskilde Festival (and at the camping raves), pirate parties, streetparties and clubs in Cairo, in Rio de Janeiro, mall clubs in Caracas, muslim wedding parties, weird art shows, Copenhagen Distortion, so many clubs in Denmark for sure, London, Rome, both at Berlin's Maria Am Ufer and mad squats, Marseille, Oslo, Stavanger, Tromsø, radioshows, college fiestas, Venice Biennial, Miami, Istanbul, beaches, boats and basements. Copyflex is honoured to have produced, played and/or shared the night with great artists such as Jens Fokking, Dj Er Du Dum Eller Hvad, Boody B, Frikstailers, Fauna, El Remolon, Douster, Sany Pitbull, Diplo, Bjørn Svin, Kid Kishore/DjHvad, Uproot Andy, Trentemøller, Schlachthofbronx, Spankrock, James Braun, Mr. Catra, Sinden, Al-Haca, Loefah, Buraka Som Systema, Crookers, Beardyman, Karsten Pflum, MC Gringo, Ane Trolle, Pacheco, Jason Forrest, Kjeld Tolstrup, Edu K, Feadz, MC Zulu, RMS/Ra:skl, dj/Rupture, Kid Kishore, Modeselektor, Kid606, Karika, Mochipet, Mad Professor, Zbigniev Karkowski, Daniel Haaksman, Camille Jones, Lulu Rouge, Jonas Olesen, Karsten Nicolai, Ghislain Poirier, Otto von Schirach, DØD, Ladybox, MHM 1, TomBoy, Fluo Kids, Inspector Scratch, Kasper Bjørke, Joyce Muniz, Eddie Confetti, Deize Tigrona, Pato, AC Slater, Fagget Fairys, Pirate Soundsystem, Bonde do Role and many, many more.
