The Flaming Lips

I had a tremendous amount of fun! Isn’t that what a Flaming Lips show should be all about? They played two(!!!) full sets (all of Yoshimi, oh course ANA another whole set with enough Soft Bulletin to make me truly happy) AND an encore. My husband, who isn’t necessarily the biggest fan, had a great time, too. Really grateful I got to be there.

In true Flaming Lips fashion, they shot human remains from a cannon into the crowd: can’t repeat that one! Although a bit macabre, it had the spirit of celebration. Drozd contributed keyboard for opening band Particle Kid on a a deliciously soupy cover of Radiohead’s “The Anthem”. Flaming Lips brough guest Nell Smith onstage for a cover of Nick Cave’s “Red Right Hand”. After a bumpy start Coyne helped out a little, showing the band’s generous support for their fellow artists. The show was extremely welcome after addictively spinning American Head to help us through the pandemic. The band and their fans could finally connect in the same space.

This concert will be hard to beat. They were unreal! This venue is perfect, too. If you get a chance to see the Flaming Lips lives, then do it! They out on an incredible show, they used the stage beautifully. Also, if there is a great artist playing at the You Tube theatre, then go see them!! Not a bad seat but definitely try to sit on the floor or in the 100’s section ;)

I have seen The Flaming Lips a grip of times, and each time is amazing. However, I have to say seeing them perform the “Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots” album was beyond any other performance that I’ve seen. They ALWAYS bring the amazingly inclusive effects and compassionate love. They make the world a better place and life more lovely.

Amazing concert, my first Flaming Lips show. Lazers, balloons, confetti, giant pink robots, all lyrics projected onto the screen. This show had it all, and I am absolutely going to go to any and all future shows that I can whenever they come around again. (Venue was also fantastic, they got everyone in very fast and orderly, and while the place was packed, you did not feel suffocated by the amount of people. There was thankfully appropriate breathing room for all.)

Wayne Coyne and the flaming lips’ members are all genuinely amazing human beings and the music they put together lifted my spirit and filled me with so much love and joy that inspired me to spread it to those around me. Thank you for such a beautiful and inspiring night.

Great show!! They always have such amazing showmanship. Even if you weren’t into the band you would still have a great time watching the light shows and seeing all the crazy props they use. A great time had by all!! ❤️❤️❤️

Holy flippin flip! Such a great live show! Highly recommend seeing these guys play. The music blew me away, the crowd was amazing, the stage props/showmanship was incredible too. I will be seeing them again every chance I get.

So great to see live music again and the Lips did not disappoint. Hell of a show! The did lots of older material (Love Yer Brain!?!!) and the whole show was a day glow dream come true. Don't hesitate, go immediately to the Flaming Lips.

Did the VIP meet and greet. Was awesome great swag and Wayne, Steve and Michael were very cool. Show was delayed by and unexpected powerful storm in the area but once it resumed fantastic fun was had by all!😍

The best live performances I’ve ever seen!! From start to finish the show was a beautifully existential psychedelic life outlook changing experience! Great crowd interaction and use of the space!! Absolutely gorgeous!!!!!! Was completely wrapped up in getting to hold Wayne Coyne’s hand as he rode by me on a light up unicorn!!!! Fabulous! I would go again anytime!¡!

Holy Shit! This past month I have seen MINISTRY, New Order, and NIN at RiotFest, Depeche Mode earlier in the week, and the Lips blew them all away. Mind you I am big fans of all the forementioned bands so this is a heartfelt review. Thinking of going to Austin on Monday to see them again

Holy shit, man! Flaming Lips puts on a SHOW not a concert. I am still reeling! What is better than going to a concert and feeling the music to your very soul? Damn, I love the Flaming Lips. I tried to meet them after the show to no avail. I know, it's the Flaming Lips! The artistry and vision of this band. Ahhh, man. I couldn't love he music more if I tried. ❤️

Absolutely awesome, so much fun. Funny and positive messages in the banter. The visual aspects and theatrics are among the best I've ever seen. Just saw Radiohead last month so a 5 star review is going to be tough to get from me when comparing to that show.

This is one of the best live performances you can see. Their commitment to bringing joy and whimsy is unparalleled. Even during these difficult times in our nation, I was able for just a moment to forget it all and laugh and feel joy.

One of the greatest shows I've ever been to. Absolutely a blast. The flaming lips sounded amazing looked amazing it was unbelievable. I would see that show every week if they were in town. What a great time.

Not sure why it's only letting me leave 4 1/2 stars, because this show deserved more than are in the sky at night. What an incredible concert to be my first at Red Rocks. Wish I would've got the tattoo haha...

This was one for the books. Pretty epic indeed. The choir, behind the Colorado Symphony Orchestra, behind the Flaming Lips, produced a massive and full range of sound with EVERY tone on the Soft Bulletin and reverberate beautifully through Red Rocks.

Best live band there is. This my favorite of the 4 times I've seen the lips. Had great seats so that helped. Do yourself a favor and see these guys before the inevitable happens and they stop touring

I've been waiting ten years to see the Flaming Lips perform live near me. This was a perfect Halloween experience! The only thing that could have topped off an already amazing show would have been if they had played "In the Morning of the Magicians".
