Renewal

The Renewal Chorus assembled for the first time back in January 2007 for a short New England tour beginning with a rehearsal at the Mission Farm Guest House in Killington, VT. Mostly college students on break from school and all alumni of the Village Harmony camps, some of us were strangers but we shared a love for world singing traditions and quickly became musically and socially cohesive. Since then we have done two more 6-10 concert winter tours around New England and have scheduled our next tour for January 2010. We have no one musical leader but all contribute songs to our programs. Our concerts reflect the diversity of our interests and expertise and often include music from the American Shape-note tradition, the Republic of Georgia, the Balkans, Corsica, and South Africa, as well as some original compositions by friends and members of Renewal. Mischievous as hell!
