Rogue Status

Rogue Status is a new collaborative effort which sees Central Coast hip-hop mainstays Awesome Ty! and RoAch Clip, joining forces with Toledo, Ohio transplant Famous Deuce. Having achieved relative degrees of success with other projects and bands, the concept originated organically in mid-2015 after the members began exchanging ideas and concepts through text. Seeing a local hip-hop scene that had deteriorated from the vibrancy of years previous, the trio set out to begin making music with the hopes of rekindling the embers that heat a culture, which is presently lukewarm at best. Individually, the three boast resumes which include collaborating and performing with some of the biggest names in hip-hop, both underground and mainstream. RoACh Clip and Famous Deuce received both 1st place & Reader’s Choice awards in the 2014 New Times Music Awards for their song “Ginsu”, the previous year Awesome Ty! received NTMA award as well. In spite of any past successes, Rogue Status remains hungry and always in search of their next meal. They look to keep releasing music to an expanding fan base in 2016, and to take their live show to new markets while continuing to maintain a strong local presence.
