From a twenty-one year old with an intense passion for music, to the sensation he is today, Deejay Omer has indeed come a long way. The journey of the elixir that he spins is as interesting as the music itself. Having experimented with the art of mixing at ‘Turf’ earlier in his career, he went on to create waves in 2014 as the resident DJ at ‘Geoffrey’s ’. At the time when ‘Futuristic music’ ruled the roost, he sought to bring in fresh new sounds, while creating a musical journey in his sets. With exclusive music and an equally magnetic personality behind the console, Deejay Omer has taken Chennai’s night life by storm. His first accomplishment of sorts was to challenge the notion that the creation of ‘Electronic Dance Music’ was particularly a westerner’s domain.
