Sonic Twin

In 2018, Synth-driven indie pop duo Sonic Twin formed in Austin, Texas releasing their debut single All Animals. Their lo-fi sound reminiscent of 80s college rock, dream pop, and the early 2000s indie scene, and soaked in a bath of caliginous reverb, displayed an earnest songwriting resolve, vibey with bright, catchy melodies.

Originally from the West Coast, Jon French (Vocals / Guitar) and Gabrielle Rose (Vocals / synthesizer) moved to Austin and opened a bakery together in the summer of 2017. During their daily ritual of making pastries and listening to an eclectic mix of indie records they realized they had a shared affinity for feel-good synth heavy sounds. The duo spent the next year making demo tapes that ultimately culminated in the warm synergetic tone of their most recent singles.
