About The Gibbons
Amazing punk from Detroit, Michigan. It started off with 3 kids playing Screeching Weasel style punk and later grew up through the band to a mature punk act compared to Jawbreaker, Leatherface and The Lawrence Arms. With songs inspired by the political follies of our nation and their home city of Detroit, a lot of the lyrics strike close to home no matter where you're from. However, The Gibbons called it a day in the summer of 2006, playing an amazing final show at anarchist commune The Trumbullplex.
