Anatii is a cultural provocateur who is making his mark both in South Africa and around the world as a super-producer, fashion icon, director, and philanthropist. Anatii’s body of work both as the man behind the boards and a solo artist front and center has shaped the soundscape of South African music for half a decade and cemented his place as one of the musical geniuses of his generation.

Anathi Mnyango was born in the small Eastern Cape Town of Bisho into a musical family. Anatii ventured into the music industry at the age of 16 when he wrote and produced a chart-topping hit, When it Rains, for South African hip-hop artist L-Tido. Commenting on his love for music Anatii notes that it’s music’s ability to bring people together that drives his creative passion.

Anatii’s producing abilities and song-writing skills have been commissioned by legendary Grammy award-winning composer of the Lion King film franchise and Broadway musical, Lebo M. Anatii also composed for megastar Beyonce on her, The Lion King: The Gift, project. His work on Mood 4 Eva which features Childish Gambino, Jay-Z, and Malian Chanteuse Oumou Sangare has been praised by critics around the world, with The New York Times calling it the best song on the album.
