About MadeSacred

Born Steven Williams in his hometown of Pittsburgh Pennsylvania, MadeSacred spent his early childhood as a transient boy moving from city to city. At the age of 7, his mom and dad were divorced and he found his heart divided between loyalty to each of them. At the age of 9, he moved from Virginia Beach Virginia where he had been living with his dad, to then live with his mom. Almost immediately, MadeSacred, then known as 'OD', notoriously associated himself with the "bad kids on the block". At this young age, he identified with rap groups and rappers such as Cypress Hill, Insane Clown Posse, 2pac, Biggie Smalls, Onyx, and many more. At the age of 10, he wrote his first rap song and still continues to crank out intellectually driven hip-hop lyrics mixed with masterful beats. At the age of 14, his mom thought MadeSacred may still have hope of permanent transformation so she introduced him to a man named Bill McGriff (May he Rest In Paradise), an ex-drug dealer and criminal who had turned his life over to Christ and who was also living as a shining example. That day, MadeSacred verbally did turn his life over to Christ; however, like clockwork, the very next day he went back to his harsh and defiant ways. At the age of 16, he made his first life changing decision and dropped out of high school, a drastic move which brought his life to a grim turning point. MadeSacred was convicted of a crime at the age of 18 and served his first sentence in jail. Over the course of the next 8 years, he routinely had severe clashes with the law and so jail became his second home. Nonetheless, he still continued to produce a genre of fierce and ruthless rap which would sharpen his talent for all the wrong reasons. In late 2007, after a split from his long time involvement with a local rap label, he decided to start his own record label and titled it "Looze Screwz Recordz". For the next year, his sole ambition and focus was to work day and night to heavily promote his record label in the Pittsburgh region. His efforts finally gained momentum, and just when he felt success rise upon his shoulders, he found himself in jail once again facing very serious charges. This last trip to jail would be averted with a charge of Criminal Homicide and would end in a plea deal for Involuntary Manslaughter, sending him to serve his sentence in a maximum security prison. Upon arrival to the prison he was placed in solitary confinement under investigation for gang leadership and/or gang affiliation due to the way he ran his record label and the reputation he had built up on the way as being "the white rapper". It was during this quiet solitude that MadeSacred really began to truly feel the love of Christ knocking on the now broken and shattered door of his heart. He willingly let Jesus into his heart and surrendered full control of his own life on October 14, 2009, but came to a very strong understanding of Christ's love for him while locked up alone in "the bucket". MadeSacred reflects on this moment as his personal triumph of good versus evil and vows his mission is to commit himself and his music as a bold and mighty Warrior for Christ. He views each breath of life as a gift of blessing to him and to others. While in the state penitentiary, he studied the Bible every day, found eternal friends in his Christian and Messianic brothers, learned to pray in groups, and found his calling as a Christ-driven rap artist: one who is dedicated to bringing the truth and hope of Christ to impoverished communities throughout the world. Since being released from prison in 2011, MadeSacred's purpose has been enveloped in proclaiming the love of Christ to those who are willing to open their hearts, ears, and minds to Christ's life saving message. His eternal love of composing rap music for Christ is stronger than any form of tangible human love he has ever experienced in his life, next only to the love of his wife and baby daughter. MadeSacred's debut album called "White Paper" was release on Halloween 2014 and gained upward momentum quickly on Pandora Radio. This dynamic collection of powerful songs is packed full of true life testimonies, transforming content, and commanding messages for listeners of every age, race, and ethnicity. MadeSacred has traveled the rough roads of life but through Christ he holds a compelling motto for bona fide Christian living-one which has been firmly etched into his soul: "Created by God, your dreams are a mental vehicle for which drive you toward His purpose for your life. Keep your eyes on Him and the rest will follow..." "If nobody ever tells you, I think you are beautiful, God loves you, Jesus loves you, and so do I." -MadeSacred Hip Hop artist with a taste for truth, hard work, and a strong love for Jesus.
