About The Stigmatics
The seed of The Stigmatics started with Bob Roos and Matt Robinson in August of 2015. By running ads on Craig's List they were able to find a vocalist who really made their original songs sound great. This was Pete McCormack all the way from Cape Cod, Mass. We thought he was crazy to make the trip, but he did again and again. Sometime before the winter freeze Pete took over on second guitar as well as vocals. With Don Henderson on drums, the four of them woodshedded for five or six months working on playing the original material. In April 2016 a surprise opening in the lineup prompted Pete to get in touch with Randall Lee Gibson IV; a drummer he only knew from seeing perform with Boston's veteran Rock/Proto Punk band The Real Kids. Pete a life long Real Kids fanatic took a huge step in contacting Randall; a professional drummer for 40 years as a member of the national touring act and beloved Boston band Scruffy the Cat. Randall was taken by Pete's boldness as well as the original songs Pete sent him. To everyone's surprise Randall came back after the first practice. Within weeks the band was booking summer gigs. During the Summer of 2017 the band entered Woolly Mammoth Sound with Sir David Minehan behind the boards and worked on what would become their three song maxi single I Need More. January 2018 saw Chris Fegela take over the skins. With new energy the band recorded a new EP of songs with authentic Garage sound thanks to Marc McElroy producing at his Electric Cave Recording Studio in Portsmouth, NH. September 2018 saw more changes for the band with veteran drummer Bob Whitelock taking his place on the kit.
