About naio ssaion

naio ssaion, pronounced (nay-yo say-yon), was officially born in 2003, even though the members of the band had been playing together since 1999.

The first album numedia was released in April 2004. It was produced by Dejan Radičević and sung solely in Slovenian. The first single n.ss soon became one of Slovenia's most frequently played songs, stayed at the top of the charts for weeks and was, together with second single blah-blah, nominated for the song of the year 2004. Both singles were supported by videos, especially blah-blah was heavily played on MTV Adria and Slovenian TV stations.

In 2004 and 2005 naio ssaion won two international competitions for young bands which brought them opportunity to open the show for American superstar Pink and a contract with record label Napalm Records.

Album out loud was recorded in English and released worldwide in November 2005. Song the mirror was featured on the Metal Hammer compilation, while the official first single from the album was miss you which was also supported by the video.

The unusual lineup headlined by female vocal and electric violin was, however, presented at its best through energetic live performances which opened naio ssaion doors to the big stages. naio ssaion joined In Extremo on European tour in front of over 70.000 visitors, Siddharta on their biggest Slovenian tour and played alongside Finn virtuosos Apocalyptica and latin metal superstars Ill Nino.

In 2007 naio ssaion took a break. After several attempts of getting back together, original lineup started gathering in rehearsal room again in 2015 and now feels ready to get back on the stages. First single is expected to be released in the end of April.
