Vigil And Thieves

Vigil and Thieves is a Kansas City alternative quartet, better defined as "loud and pretty," that formed in early 2014. Previously described as “grandiose” with a “heartbreaking heaviness,” the band has honed in on dynamic and lyrically-driven song structures that have been compared to live poetry. Their debut album, [defective] book one, was released in September 2014, followed by an east coast tour in support. Their sophomore EP, Neverland, was released in June 2016 and embodies every adventure the band has collectively taken part in, while a summer 2017 tour laid down the stepping stones for a brand new chapter with the single release of "heroin & automobiles." The band has since received high praise from notable publications and organizations including Tattoo.com, I Heart Local Music, Liberty Press, CAMP Kansas City, Curve Magazine, Midwest Music Foundation, Dying Scene, and more. Look out for spring and summer tour dates as Vigil and Thieves head to Nashville to record their debut full-length in at The Record Shop with producer John Burke in April 2018.
