Bruce Hornsby

Nobody else I know plays as far out and brings it back home again, for such a solid landing,, as quickly, as frequently, as playfully, and in as many different ways, as Bruce. The new songs and classic arrangements with yMusic were very cool, too - a very musical listening experience, I spent the whole time entranced, no chemical enhancements necessary.

Great show! I love how Bruce Hornsby continues to find and meet new challenges with his music. The chemistry with yMusic was evident and enjoyable.

Another GREAT show from Bruce! 14 or so songs. His show is always improvisational. No Bruce show is ever the same and that is Just The Way It Is

Great band, unique, original and always evolving. A very rich and lush sound. Meymandi Concert Hall is a fine venue.

Great concert but bathrooms are in bad shape. Also seats are too small with limited leg room

Seeing Bruce live is always a truly inspiring “event” that stays with me for many days. His interaction with the audience, his spontaneity, his incredible piano skills, and improv that you can always count on means he never sounds stale, even when performing radio hits. The audience at Troy Music Hall was very staid and the seating uncomfortably cramped Still, i was moved to both laughter and tears. Bruce’s collaboration with the youngsters in Y-Music and his other collaborative work over the years is alwsys fun and surprising. Can’t say enough about Bruce - i’ve been following him for decades! Thank you Bruce Hornsby!!!

What a unique and mesmerizing experience! Bruce Hornsby and yMusic provided a mixture of new and some of Bruce’s classics songs! Seeing the collaboration of young and mature, modern and traditional blended so well together. It was only after buying the tickets that I had found out that Bruce Hornsby was performing without the Noisemakers and at first I thought: what a pity, I would have liked to see him with band. And basically I'm always sceptical about attending a concert when you have to book seats (...except for classical concerts). But... retrospectively, both was fitting wonderfully!!! A great, fine, atmospheric concert. Un general I have to critizise: It's just a crappy behavior that there are more and more people who don't even want to wait for the encore because they think they have to leave because the next bus is coming soon.

Incredibly talented artist with such an array of musical influences. His band was so tight, fabulous musicians who were having so much fun on stage performing together.

Great to see Bruce and band enjoying themselves, great jams, fun new interpretation of old songs. Great venue, wish Amos Lee played a few songs less, knowing Bruce had to stop at 11, and the start time had been pushed back. Probably missed a great encore song, but we'll never know thanks to Raleigh's curfew.

Awesome venue, amazing show, lots of great people in the audience. Bruce and the boys were on fire. Did some great stuff with the new material.

This concert was exactly what I thought it would be. Bruce Hornsby is a laid back piano playing angel!

What a great show, lots of deep cuts and fresh takes on songs. Hornsby is a living legend!

I never got a ticket but I'm sure it was awesome so I'm giving it 5 stars.

Bruce and The Noisemakers put on a fantastic set which spanned his career, from The opening "On The Western Skyline" through the "Rainbows Cadillac" encore. They included samplings of the dulcimer driven new album "Rehab Reunion", including the spiritually tinted "Celestial Railroad" and "Over The Rise". The causal fans in attendance were treated to the "hits" "Mandolin Rain" and " The Way It Is", while the Bruuuuuce fanatics were relished healthy portions of virtuosity in extended jams intruding an energizing "Fun House" --> "Tennessee Jed". All in all the large crowd left this perfect summer evening show with smiles on their faces!!

Bruce was great as usual, John Popper was a super opener. unfortunately, the Biltmore was awful. I'll never attend another show there. security was at an all time high, and apparently they weren't happy to be there. They were rude and very unfriendly. Security wasn't near as unpleasant as the rich entitled assholes that ruined a good show. I paid the same price as they did for general admission yet somehow they felt they deserved my seats. Bruce made it all better as soon as he came out and let the hippies take the front to dance.

I was skeptical at first...but Bruce Hornsby is an extremely talented musician. This concert was amazing! I highly recommend you see him if you have the opportunity.

The venue was great. It was very intimate and the sound was nice. Drink prices were very fair. The staff was pleasant and helpful. Seeing Bruce live is something I will NEVER forget.

Great show that for cut a little short by some thunderstorms. As usual Bruce and the Noisemakers had great song selection and the riffs were well coordinated and spotlighted all the band members throughout the show. Go see them when you get a chance you won't be disappointed.
