In the beginning, there was a teenager, his piano and a dream. Everything else just sort of happened. But it was far from an overnight success. It took many years of hard work and determination to get to where Tyler Keating stands today. The 21 year old Singer/Songwriter was born in Halifax but raised in a suburb of Toronto where his love and adoration for all genres of music really began to flourish. His vocal style covers many styles and influences — which include Ed Sheeran to Justin Timberlake, Coldplay and even Bruno Mars to name a few. Over the years, Tyler has uploaded videos of himself singing for the world to see on YouTube, Soundcloud, Vine… you name it. If it’s a thing, Tyler’s been there. As time drew by, social media began to take notice and soon Tyler found himself being watched by thousands of online followers. Tyler's remarkable online presence has enabled him to network and establish himself within the Canadian music community. His success would not be what it is today without the endless amounts of support from family and friends who continue to inspire and motivate Tyler to continue his efforts. It wasn’t long before Tyler caught the eye of Mitch Masters, Track Avenue’s Director of A&R. A strong relationship quickly formed that afforded Tyler the opportunity to develop his artistry and songcraft with producer Matt Sobhy (Prevail Music). Together, they put the final touches on Tyler’s self-penned and first studio-recording, ‘Won’t Let You Go’. The bold and infectious dance-pop anthem is bound to take Canada by storm. Tyler continues to perform live and has taken the stage in front of crowds at Canada’s Wonderland, Bowmanville Ribfest, the Drake Hotel, the Canadian National Exhibition and the General Motors Centre. He is currently writing new songs to feature alongside his debut single in hopes of including it on his upcoming EP. Tyler has also been featured on nation-wide television as part of MuchMusic and Coca-Cola’s Covers Contest which took place just last year. Make no mistake. Tyler is far from your typical “pop star” or teen heartthrob.
