Modec first began producing and DJing after moving to Leeds in 2011 and starting his endevours at university studying for a degree in music production. This is where he met inspiring individuals with the same ideals and vision who introduced him to the sound of the underground. From this he has developed his signature sound in tech house which reflects his passion that has emerged for this sound and genre. In 2015 he signed with an artist agency known as Nightcap, and was granted opportunities to play at incredible venues and stages across the UK from XOYO to Bathfest. Taking inspiration from artists such as Theo Kottis, MIhalis Safras, SEFF and EcHonomist; Modec's sets and productions reflect on the fundamentals of the underground electronic music scene, capturing the essence of true house music with elements and characteristics of techno intertwined to create the inspired aesthetics of tech house.
