Do you remember when New York City had a pulse? When discotheque goers would dance till dawn at Studio 54 and punk misfits packed CBGB’s wall to wall? Where are the musical experiences that infuse your spirit and shake your core like that of yesteryears? The current musical landscape is suffering; it is in a state of anomie and Cary Nokey is here to treat it! Cary Nokey isn’t so much a band as a musical collective, a rave-esque rotation wherein the only constant is the electricity each member sparks. Fronted by Grammy Winning, Multi-platinum Record Producer Rob Fusari, now known as 8 Bit, Cary Nokey was born out of late nights in underground clubs and karaoke bars. Live shows become a space where high intensity electronic dance music intersects with emotionally charged rock, a hybrid of grit and glam! The idea is to restructure the musical experience and provide a psychedelic interactive journey of body and mind. The only goal is to move the audience, to make them do something, to inspire them to be who they are! Cary Nokey is Fursari’s first artist project since 2007, after finding and developing Lady Gaga. In addition to working with Gaga, his credits include Beyonce, Britney Spears, Whitney Houston, Will Smith, Destiny’s Child, Kelly Rowland and the Jonas Brothers, among others.
