Sunset Images is an experimental-noise duo formed in Mexico City in late 2013 by Samuel Osorio, with many lineup changes the band started as a four piece instrumental rock band releasing a self titled EP, quickly the band started developing and transforming their sound into a complex combination of shoegaze, noise and psychedelic music. Ever since 2014 the band has toured extensively throughout Mexico and The United States, in 2015 the band relocated to Brooklyn, New York where they released their second EP Hajime/はじめ (japanese word which translates to beginning) and toured trough the west coast. In 2016 the process of composing and recording started, along with extensive touring, in the summer the band recorded 'Obscure Daze' in a one single session and it was mixed and mastered the same day by KB at Testa Estudio in Leon, Guanajuato, Mexico. In 2017 Sunset Images embarked in a Japan tour, playing across the country and making the live debut of tracks from 'Obscure Daze' wich was released later that year on 12” limited edition transparent vinyl (Gravy Records), in cassette (Cintas) and digital. “Obscure Daze” is surely their most ambitious work delivered to date, including vocals for the first time and evolving into a faster, heavier and darker sound, it features six giant-sounding tracks immersing in bass fuzz, heavy drumming, reverberated guitar and pouring trance inducing waterfalls of sound.
