Miika Kuisma

Residing from Finland, Miika Kuisma, 31, has seen and accomplished a lot but this red-hot producer/dj still has his best years yet to come. Through hard work and time Miika has evolved into an all-round dj with his very own distinct sound and his sensational productions have gained the support of many industry leaders such as Tiesto, Paul van Dyk, Armin Van Buuren, Paul Oakenfold and Christopher Lawrence.

Miika’s path began when he heard house music for the first time in the mid-90s and he knew that he had found something that will stay in his life until the very end. His musical career started out with some simple software on his PC and eventually took him into the professional studio environment. For past few years he has been working in the HelsinkiVibes Studio is where most of the Finnish club hits are created for the world. These premices are also home for producers like Super8, Supermodels From Paris, DJ Tab and K-System.

Miika is well known of his wide range of styles he can produce and play. Everything goes from chill-out to progressive house and even tech-trance, depending on the situation at hand. No matter what the style is his recognizable signature sound can be heard in few seconds as magical, dark atmospheric mood that’s floating within the track. During the 2006 Miika has found himself more and more married with progressive house when he founded Danceteria Music label together with his close friends Supermodels From Paris and Mr.A.

The year 2005 was perhaps the busiest of his career so far due to the production and release of his debut artist album called “Inwardgaze”. The year 2006 will make a big difference for Miika while he is transforming himself from trance world into house world. Meanwhile his next artist album is cooking well and his latest productions are suggesting it will be quite different from the Inwardgaze.
