Bijon Watson Music

Born and raised in Massachusetts, Bijon Watson has been classically trained since the age of eight and has performed for audiences around the world. He attended the University of Southern California, and the New England Conservatory of Music, and was a member of the 1994 Disney All-American College Band and 1995 Disney/Grammy All-American College Jazz Band.

Bijon has had the opportunity to record on numerous soundtracks with studios such as Paramount, Warner Brothers and Disney. His credits include performances, tours and/or recordings with Michael Buble, Harry Connick, Jr., Diana Krall, Michael Jackson, Arturo Sandoval, John Pizzarelli, Queen Latifah, Natalie Cole, Justin Timberlake, Earth, Wind & Fire, Nicholas Payton, Rosemary Clooney, Barbara Morrison, Dianne Reeves, Nancy Wilson, Alicia Keys, Chaka Khan, Mariah Carey, Luis Miguel, Prince, The Temptations, and Gladys Knight to name a few.

Bijon plays lead trumpet for the critically-acclaimed Clayton-Hamilton Jazz Orchestra, the Gerald Wilson Jazz Orchestra, the John Daversa Progressive Big Band, the Jazz on the Latin Side All-Stars, and many other jazz, salsa, and pop bands throughout the United States.

Bijon has also performed with the Boston Pops Orchestra, the Los Angeles Opera, and in many musical theatre productions in Los Angeles and throughout California.

On television, he has performed as a member of Rickey Minorʼs band for episodes of “American Idol”, on the 46th and 48th Annual Grammy Awards shows, The BET Music Awards, “Dancing With The Stars”, and the new ABC show “Duets”

A dedicated educator, Bijon is a sought after clinician with that has given master classes and clinics to colleges, and high schools throughout the United States, and in Europe.
