Sharptongue

"The tongue like a sharp knife, kills without drawing blood" Sharptongue was founded in May 2013 by four young musicians who had already gained experience in playing and writing music together but who wanted to reinvent themselves. That is why they gave everything for Sharptongue from the start. The first sign of life was the EP ‘Thirteen’ released in June 2013, only one month after the band’s foundation, which also featured the first single ‘Snakes’. In the following months, the band played numerous live shows all over Germany and started working on their debut album ‘Bad Blood / Sleeping Soul’ which will be released in October 2014 via acuity.music. ‘Bad Blood / Sleeping Soul’ is split in two parts, musically and lyrically. While the first half has a more positive, rebellious and aggressive spirit, the second half has a negative atmosphere reaching from melancholic to desperate. The lyrics are to be seen as different feelings and points of view of a person. So the album deals with an inner conflict which is partly fictional, partly personal. The album features two guest vocalists: Andreas Villhauer (Human Touch) and David Beule (VITJA). It was recorded and mixed by Aljoscha Sieg at Pitchback Studios.
