Band Members Max Mayhew - Lead Vocal / Rhythm Guitar – Max provides the band with a Rock vocal sound, incorporating influences from ‘Jello Biafra’ and ‘Daron Malakian’. In addition to lead vocals Max provides the band with a solid rhythm guitar section incorporating the performance style of ‘Trevor Strnad’. Jack Ward - Drums – Jacks unique drumming style provides Arcadius with a highly recognisable sound, his use of snare off beats and complex bass drum sections allow the band to explore a range of musical styles. Jack takes his influences from ‘Travis Barker’ and ‘Mike Fuentes’ Jack Smith - Lead Guitar – As lead guitarist Jack provides the band with distinctive hooks and memorable melodies, utilising influences from old and new Rock bands such as the ‘Descendents’ and ‘A Day to Remember’. Biography Arcadius formed in late 2010 as a four-piece Rock / Heavy Metal fusion band. Arcadius have been evolving a unique, raw and uncompromising live sound. Although firmly rooted in the Rock / Heavy Metal genre, Arcadius fuse this with a range of different genres from Pop to Punk, to create distinctive songs with abrasive metal rhythms, unique rock melodies and punchy pop vocals. 2012 has provided fantastic opportunities for Arcadius, they have performed as part of the Diamond Jubilee celebrations in Hoddesdon, as well as providing live music for a number of charity events including ‘Sports Relief’ held in Welwyn Garden City. The summer of 2012 was particularly busy for the band as they performed at ‘The Square’ in Harlow and a number of pubs including ‘The Golden Lion’ (Hoddesdon), ‘The Green Dragon’ (Cheshunt) and ‘The George III’ (Broxbourne). Arcadius are currently in the final stages of producing their début EP titled ‘Wilson’. The EP will be released in early 2013 and will be available to download via itunes as well as being available on CD. 2013 looks to be another exciting year for the band plan as they plan their summer tour of the UK and start production on their second EP.
